dc.description.abstractBackground Childhood cancer survivors CCS face numerous post treatment challenges including longterm nutritional deficiencies increased risk of metabolic complications and difficulty in accessing continuous nutritional care due to limited hospital visits. In todays technology driven world mobile health interventions offer a practical and sustainable solution Method A randomized controlled trial was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed FIT4PEDON mobile application in delivering personalized nutritional interventions to malnourished CCS Participants aged 5 to18 years were recruited and randomly assigned to either the intervention group which received tailored dietary plans and physical activity regimen via the FIT4PEDON app with intervention lasted for 12 weeks The control group received traditional nutritional counselling Results showed that the FIT4PEDON app intervention provided significant changes in anthropometric parameters, particularly in the age group aged 12 to 18 A significant improvement in weight Triceps skinfold thickness TSF and mid arm muscle circumference MAMC was observed in the intervention group with a marked reduction compared to the control group Additionally both groups showed significant improvements in emotional functioning as assessed by Paediatrics quality of life PedsQL Therapy related symptoms including nutrition related psychosocial CNS oropharyngeal and dermatological toxicities also demonstrated notable enhancements Moreover nutrient intake analysis revealed significant improvements in both macro and micronutrients The intervention group showed greater increases in protein fiber carbohydrates iron and zinc intake alongside a reduction in fat intake compared to the control group Conclusion Overall the developed FIT4PEDON mobile application proved to be a promising tool for enhancing nutritional status and quality of life in CCS p less than 0 Point 05 newline
