Abstract
Knowledge of proteomics is a prerequisite for the apprehension of biological
newlineprocesses. They help in protein complex identification, cellular development, protein
newlineinteraction validation, similarity analysis, and drug design, etc. Experimental
newlineapproaches are supplanted by statistical and optimization complexity techniques due
newlineto the high cost and time-consuming design of the mission. In recent years, the scale
newlineof bioinformatics data has grown rapidly. In a highly susceptible life science area like
newlinebioinformatics, having access to a large amount of data is beneficial for more precise
newlineanalytics.
newlineBioinformatics tools help in the comparison, analysis, and interpretation of genetic
newlineand genomic data, as well as in understanding the evolutionary aspects. Protein Data
newlineAnalytics (PDA) is the process of identification and understanding of protein
newlinesequences, functional, similarity evaluation between the protein, and analysis of
newlineprotein interaction network. This knowledge will aid scientists and researchers in their
newlineunderstanding of protein structure, which can then be applied to the production of
newlinesupplements and molecular functions that characterize life with the dry lab to wet lab
newlineevident.
newlineThe thesis presents a framework for the analysis of protein sequences, protein
newlineinteraction networks, protein functional associations and gene ontology terms. It has
newlinefour attempts of research parts. In the first contribution, a framework is developed for
newlinethe detection of motif or consensus patterns in protein sequences with improved
newlineaccuracy. Further, the second contribution is the evaluation of similarity between gene
newlineontology terms by considering a multifactored evaluation comprising of the semantics
