Studies on the cardio vascular pathology in chicken

newline In view of the paucity of literature studies on spontaneous cardio-vascular lesions and experimental induction of aortic ruptures and atherosclerosis in chicken were undertaken. newlineIn the study of spontaneous lesions 12,946 cases of poultry carcasses and birds slaughtered at poultry marketing centre were examined for various gross and microscopic changes. Out of the above 867 birds (6.69%) revealed cardio-vascular lesions. Various pathological conditions recorded were cateogorised under degenerative and necrotic changes, vascular disturbances, inflammatory conditions, disturbances of growth, neoplasia and miscellaneous conditions. newline
