Since, the initial discovery of laccase from Japanese lacquer tree, laccases have been reported newlinefrom plants, insects, fungi and bacteria. Laccases also known as benzenediol: oxygen newlineoxidoreductase, belongs to family of multicopper oxidases with enzyme commission (EC1.10.3.2). Laccases can oxidize aromatic substrates such as phenols, cyanide complexes, as newlinewell as non-aromatic compounds and metal ions. The ability of laccases to act on diverse newlinesubstrates makes them potential candidate for several industrial applications such as newlineindustrial effluent treatment, biofuel, drug metabolism, bioremediation, dyes decolourization, newlinebiosensors, and bioprinting. In present study, we aim at investigation of the genus newlineStreptomyces which is a powerhouse of secondary metabolites and various enzymes of newlinecommercial interest. The CotA laccase from Bacillus subtilis is one of the widely explored. newlineBedide, low redox potential of laccases from Streptomyces compared to fungal laccases, We newlineaimed at exploration of Streptomyces for laccase production, genome mining and then newlinepotential of laccases to de-colorise the dyes as well as their impact of fluoroquinolones newlineefficacy newline
