Recently, multiferroics have earned colossal attention due to the simultaneous occurrence of both ferroelectric and ferromagnetic properties in a single material. Owing to the existence and tuning of both magnetic and electric polarization, these materials have tremendous potential applications in diverse fields. Ferrite based magnetic materials are of immense research interest among researchers and scientists because of their outstanding properties. Ferrites with a hexag-onal crystal structure are known as hexaferrite, which has a broad spectrum of applications in permanent magnets, magnetic recording media, microwave devices, mobile communications, resonance isolators, filters, data storage, radar-absorbing material, and stealth technologies. Hexaferrites are classified in accordance with their crystal symmetry and chemical composition into a variety of classes including M(AF12O19), W(AMe2F16O27), X(A2Me2F28O46), Y(A2Me2Fe12O22), Z(A3Me2Fe24O41), U(A4Me2Fe36O60), where Me is the transition metal of dual valency. Amongst the hexaferrites, the Y and X-types are considered as superior materials for application in electronic communication, microwave devices, and multiferroic devices. newline
