Abstract
The present thesis entitled, FICTIONAL WORLD OF KHUSHWANT
newlineSINGH: A DEPICTION OF SOCIAL HISTORY aimed to explore and
newlineanalyse social history in the selected novels of Khushwant Singh.
newlineThe study is carried out according to certain aims and objectives.
newlineThe works of the novelist have been greatly influenced by the
newlinepersonal and the social lives, he has experienced. The novelist has
newlinebrought out the social feelings, experience and the cultural
newlineconsciousness of his characters. Undoubtedly, the experiences of
newlinethese characters are close to those of their creator.
