Abstract
Globalization made revolutionary changes in world society and Indian society,
newlinealthough the origin of globalization as a phenomenon is a subject of debate that is still
newlinegoing on. Young people are often considered to represent the future as they bring new
newlineideas and energy to add to the pool of `knowledge that currently exists. They can
newlinebring enthusiasm and vitality, which can lead to new inventions that can benefit
newlinesociety or even the world at large. India is now witnessing what demographers call a
newline youth bulge1. And according to NYP, 2014 27.5% of the Indian population comes in
newlinethe age group of 15-29. India is expected to become the world s 4th largest economy,
newlinecontributing about 5.5%-6% to the world GDP, only after the United States, China,
newlineand Japan. Most of these countries face the risk of an aging workforce. India is
newlineexpected to have a very young demographic profile.
