Design and development of a secure and Scalable framework for effective data Storage in cloud environment

Abstract

Cloud Computing has attracted several enterprises due to various newlinebenefits that it offers in the form of greater resiliency faster deployment low newlinecosts or pay per usage on demand security control and detection of system newlinetampering The major issue identified in cloud computing is its security newlineattribute which affects its growth The objective of the research focuses on newlinemajor areas like providing security of data at rest enhancing the security of newlineMap Reduce algorithm preserving the privacy of data improving the newlineefficiency of datastore and to build a scalable framework newlineAll the five objectives identified fall under the umbrella of data newlinesecurity in cloud The data deployed in the cloud has grown exponentially in newlinerecent years The first objective involves performing encryption to safeguard newlinethe data at rest Such a mechanism is a time consuming process which needs newlinean efficient Map Reduce framework with AES XTS mode that yields newlinepromising results newlineThe next objective is to secure the Map Reduce process Map newlineReduce framework uses tokens to access nodes and run jobs Such tokens are newlinevulnerable to attacks To avoid it a public key encryption technique is newlineproposed to enhance the security of jobs running under Map Reduce This newlinetechnique is designed to achieve an improved level of security when using newlineRSA compared to other cryptographic algorithms newline newline
