Abstract
This thesis, quotGreen Marketing Strategies and their Impact on Consumers Purchase Intensions: A Study of Maharashtra State, quot delves into the complex relationship between green marketing strategies and consumer behavior in Maharashtra, India. The major goals were to comprehend the role played by green marketing concepts, identify various strategies followed by organizations, evaluate consumer awareness and perceptions regarding green products and services, and determine how the strategies affect the intent to purchase. The review of literature underscored that green marketing is an emerging imperative fueled by environmental issues, regulatory forces, and changing customer needs. Green practices have previously been seen to have a positive impact on financial performance and innovation. High production cost, consumer reluctance occasioned by greenwashing, and unavailability of the product typically offsets extensive application. There was a vast research gap to comprehend these dynamics in the context of the multicultural consumer market of Maharashtra. A quantitative approach was used, and questionnaires were distributed among both companies (120 respondents) and clients (768 respondents) in chosen districts of Maharashtra. Descriptive statistics were used to examine demographic characteristics, awareness levels, and perceptions, and Chi-square tests were used to test hypotheses concerning the impact of different factors.
