Vocational education is an educational process whose main objective is to provide practical skills, technical knowledge and livelihood related qualifications to the students. Compared to traditional academic education, vocational education is more employment oriented which prepares the youth directly according to the requirements of the workplace. In a developing country like India, where unemployment, illiteracy and lack of skills are a serious challenge, vocational education is emerging as a powerful medium. Vocational education not only helps the youth to get employment, but also promotes the spirit of self-reliance, innovation and entrepreneurship. Vocational education usually involves a mix of theory and practical experience. In the current socio-cultural and economic context, the importance of vocational education for girls is increasing day by day. The presented research specifically examines how vocational education not only leads girls towards becoming self-reliant, but also strengthens social equality, gender justice and economic participation. Vocational education of girls has the potential to improve many important social issues like poverty, gender inequality, child marriage and population growth. Vocational education can help girls develop self-confidence, critical thinking skills, make the best of their economic prospects and enable them to make informed life decisions. On this basis, it can be said that vocational education makes girls self-confident. newline
