The need for electricity is increasing globally due to the prompt progression of population and technological developments that influence environmental pollution conditions. Generally, renewable energy resources adopted for power generation improve the power system parameters both technically and economically. newlineThe Distribution Systems have the largest portion of the power loss, about 70%, because of their low voltage level and high current carrying configuration. Further, voltage profile deviation and high power losses are the major issues in distribution networks due to the high value of the R/X ratio, load expansion, and inductive nature of loads. Therefore, power loss reduction is one of the most interesting and vital matters in power system studies. Distributed Generations (DGs) become an attractive option to solve this problem due to their economic, technical, and environmental advantages. newlineIn a Radial Distribution System (RDS), the reactive power flow is considered the main reason for power quality. The compensation of reactive power is one of the significant parts of power system planning. The capacitor banks / Shunt Capacitors (SCs) are the common reactive power resources that offer loss reduction, voltage regulation, and a financial return for distribution companies. newline
