dc.description.abstractIn recent years, the use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has increased considerably, with a wide range of applications including smart parking, smart health care, smart marketing, smart agriculture, smart industries, and automated systems for smart residences. However, the energy efficiency and security of these devices continue to be significant obstacles. Numerous secure and resource-efficient techniques for Internet of Things-connected devices were proposed and implemented in this study utilizing the CISCO packet tracer and Jupiter Notebook. It commenced by analyzing security and energy efficiency issues associated with IoT devices, including the potential for IoT device networks to consume energy and compromise security. The exponential expansion of wireless sensor networks The prevalence of IoT devices has facilitated their integration into a variety of sectors, including medical, smart traffic, smart cities, disaster management, RFID networks, and drone operations. Given that WSNs are constructed from diminutive and inexpensive sensor nodes and serve as the foundation of IoT networks, they are susceptible to a number of constraints, including brief communication ranges, limited battery capacity, and tiny memory sizes. Continuous energy consumption characterizes IoT-based networks, as it is consumed throughout the data sensing, data collection, and data transmission phases. The issue of energy efficiency has garnered increased attention in recent years due to the challenges associated with modifying or recharging battery supplies for large-scale or remote networks. Efficient data transmission is an additional challenge encountered in IoT networks. Due to inadequate administration of IoT networks, the lifespan, privacy, and security of IoT networks are compromised, thereby increasing the likelihood of energy consumption increases and compromising the privacy of IoT networks. As a result of the necessity for IoT security and energy efficiency.
