| dc.description.abstract | This study focuses on creating lightweight polyester bio-composites for automotive and low-cost technology applications using pineapple fabric and peanut husk ash (PHA) biosilica particles. Using a thermo-mechanical process and an aqueous solution approach, silane-surface treatment is applied to peanut husk in order to produce biosilica particles. This study examines the use of biosilica particles from peanut husk and pineapple cloth in the creation of highly durable polyester composites. The hand-layup polyester composites mechanical, wear, fatigue, DMA, ballistic, and drilling behaviour are assessed in accordance with ASTM standards. The details of the investigations individual findings are listed below. The reinforced with up to 5% PHA biosilica particles and 45% pineapple cloth. The addition of pineapple fabric and PHA biosilica particles with silane-coated surfaces enhances the final characteristics of polyester composites. The composite containing 3 vol.% PHA biosilica particle outperforms conventional composites in terms of tensile strength, flexural strength, impact strength, and inter laminar shear strength. newline | |
