| dc.description.abstract | Education is the Wheel of a civilization. Likewise India being an ancient civilization flourished with its educational development and transformed it into a seat of learning. From ancient method of education to modern education, India have had always proved successful in the field of Art, Architecture, Science, Philosophy, Literature, Economy and Politics. It has produced so many luminaries proficient in various fields which gave a new light to entire world. India has seen the ancient language of Sanskrit, Persian Language in medieval times and in modern times English Education in its long runs of History. It is also a land of various language and culture. English language and Education Flourished in this country from 17th century which gave a new dimension to our science, Literature, Philosophy and Administration. After formation of Balasore district in 1828 in the province of Bengal, it got it s a special identity. Emergence of English Education with existing traditional system education opened a new chapter in the History of District. The European missionaries at their initial stage of entry in this country took the responsibility of spreading Christianity among native people through education. But after 1813 the British East India Company took the responsibility of spreading education in this country by enacting a new law i.e., known as charter act 1813. The company got power to spent Rs.100000/- towards educational development of the country and prohibited the missionaries to march forward in this regard. newline | |
