Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) serve as a crucial component within newlinecontemporary transportation systems, facilitating seamless interaction among vehicles newlineand infrastructure to improve road safety and operational efficiency. This comprehensive newlinestudy addresses these challenges by presenting a series of innovative approaches aimed newlineat fortifying the security and optimizing the performance of VANETs security. newlineInitially, the research proposes Secure Group Key Management to provide security to the newlinenetwork and its elements and a cryptography approach to fortify data transmission newlinesecurity for the network, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in message exchange. newlineFurther, novel techniques such as Trusted Neighbour Nodes Discovery and RSU newlinecooperative detection mechanisms have been proposed to mitigate the impact of Sybil newlineattacks using triangulation mechanism and false propagation technique by RSUs. newlineFurthermore, research introduces a pioneering methodology called RSU cooperationbased approach to detect and defend against a Global Positioning System (GPS) Spoofing newlineattack, thereby enhancing the integrity of emergency message dissemination within the newlinenetwork. Furthermore, an approach for detecting and preventing DoS attacks with RSU newlineassistance is suggested for VANET, utilizing RSU message temporal signature in newlineconjunction with identification and mitigation techniques. newlineSubsequently, a novel routing scheme is presented for Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything newline(C-V2X) Mode 4 communications, which addresses hidden terminal issues and enhances newlineoverall communication performance. By optimizing the distance in the virtual queue newlinemodel, the suggested method creates a virtual queueing model that efficiently selects newlinechannels to minimize interference and packet collisions. newlineFinally, a paradigm for self-organizing virtual backhaul is presented to maximize the newlinedistribution of emergency messages while considering important variables like latency, newlinetrust, and dependability. LTE (Long-Term Evolution) interface and VANET are newlinecombined to spread trust
