Abstract
newline The print newspaper circulation in the western countries is experiencing a major plunge. However, some Asian countries reveal a contrasting situation. Among Asian countries, India has reported a surge in print newspaper circulation. An interesting addition to this fact is that in India e-newspapers are also growing. Print newspapers have become a household habit in India over the years. People are used to a newspaper in the comfort of their house as their morning routine.
newlineReports reveal that India is expected to become the youngest nation by the year 2020, where average age will be below 25 years. Along with this, growing Indian economy is set to place India at second position in terms of economic growth by the year 2030. Both of these factors contribute to the fact that younger generation will be more inclined to use technology and economic growth will lead to change in lifestyles of Indian citizens. These indicate changes in news consumption too.
