Removable dental prostheses are the most recommended treatment option for newlinethe management of edentulism with a well-documented success rate. Optimal newlineproperties of the denture base resin material impart a significant role in the longevity newlineof the prosthesis. Any compromise in the material standards, lead to major newlinecomplications such as prosthetic fracture, and development of denture infections. newlineContinuous advancements in materials science have mitigated some limitations, newlineleading to improved outcomes. Several materials, reinforcements, and composites newlinehave been utilized to enhance the properties of denture base resin (DBR). While newlinemany materials have gained widespread acceptance, an ideal DBR material with newlinebalanced antimicrobial and mechanical properties has yet to be developed. newlineDenture stomatitis (DS) is a common infection among elderly individuals, newlineimmunocompromised patients, and long-term denture wearers. To mitigate such newlineinfections, denture base materials should exhibit antimicrobial properties. Plenty of newlinesynthetic and plant-based drugs were utilised with considerable effect. Recently, the newlineuse of Vaccinium macrocarpon (American cranberries) and Lavandula angustifolia newline(true Lavender) has upsurged owing to its versatile medicinal properties. newlineComprehensive literature search observed negligible studies performed using these newlineplant antimicrobials in the field of prosthetic dentistry newline
