The use of composite materials has increased rapidly in recent years due to their excellent strength to weight ratio and corrosion resistance. The lightweight and low-cost composites in the small-scale fishing craft building industry represent a smart and motivating solution to the growing environmental demands. Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composites have been when to fabricate a wide variety of maritime vessels like lifeboat, speedboat, patrol boat, catamarans, canoes and fishing boats for many years, and these materials have gradually obtained a significant role. Marine composite structures are prone to high impact load. The glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) composite fishing boats have to withstand rough sea due to storm surge and turbulent wave movements. Due to these adverse conditions, accidents occur, which result in loss of life and wealth. These accidents are mainly caused by breakage of the hull due to slumming wave pressure. The hull material of the vessel has a vital role in marine accidents. To overcome the above difficulties, the hull should be manufactured in a material that will withstand high impact load. Fishnets fiber has excellent mechanical properties, processing ability, and heat resistance. They are highly resistant to abrasion and chemicals. Different kinds of fishnets are available and used in coastline for fishing. They are Cast net, Coracle net, Stake net, Gill net, Hoop net, etc. Gill nets are the most popular commercial fishing net in the world. There are three different types of netting used commonly. They are monofilament, multifilament and multi-strand monofilament netting. newline newline newline
