Abstract

newline Education is the most potent lever for social, economic and political transformation. It is newlinean important tool for socio-economic mobility and a key instrument for building an equitable and newlinejust society. The Government of India has introduced very recently the National Education newlinePolicy, 2020 in our country to provide quality education to the children in schools. The policy newlineenvisions an education system rooted in Indian philosophy that contributes directly to newlinetransforming India, sustainably into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society by providing newlinehigh-quality education to all; and thereby making India a global knowledge superpower. The newlineRight of children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, which is popularly known as the newlineRight to Education (RTE) Act, 2009 marked a historic moment for children of India providing newlineaccess to free and compulsory education for all children below the age of 14 years.
