Efficient routing and enhanced hotspot detection protocols to reduce the bottlenecks in wsn

Abstract

In the current scenario, the requirement for Internet of things (IoT) has significantly increased; certain sectors that demand IoT include industrial automation, home control, health care applications, military and surveillance applications, habitat monitoring, and nanoscopic sensor applications. The implementation of optimal wireless sensor networks (WSNs) has resulted in their involvement in transmission techniques. Practically, a WSN consist of thousands of randomly distributed sensor nodes to sense and transmit the environmental data, such as temperature, pressure, humidity, light, and sound. One of the dominant demands while employing these sensor nodes is energy. Consequently, it has become a major area of research among recent researchers; moreover, several design techniques and protocols were presented within the last decade, especially for IoT-based applications. Therefore, the systemization of an energy optimized WSN in dynamic functional circumstances with automatic self-configuration of the sensor nodes are essential objectives. newline
