T: newlineThe ground water is very most important water which is used various activities such as drinking, bathing, washing, food preparations, agricultural activities, and also industrial activities etc. It is an urgent need drinking water to be clean, safe and microbial free must than the other uses. Ground water contaminated through different types of human activities like disposal of waste materials, disposal of agricultural waste materials, surgical waste materials, plastics, radio- active wastes, sewage water and uses of harmful chemicals, fertilizers. These waste materials generated serious human as well as animal diseases. According to World Health Organization (WHO) approximately 80% of the human diseases are born by poor water quality. Therefore it is an urgent need to analyze and identify the ground water quality before its uses for healthy life. The present study area conducted Satna district of Madhya Pradesh state, India. Satna district is located in the Northern part of Madhya Pradesh, Satna. This district is famous for cement industries and also cultural, historical and archaeological importance. It is located at 24.160 N latitude and 80.830 longitude, and total covered area 7,502Km2. Maihar and Chitrakoot is a sacred place of Hindu pilgrim and lies among the southern and northern part of Vindhyan range. newlineFor present investigation research work intended to characterized the physico- chemical parameters in ground water from different areas of Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. Observation on the physico-chemical characteristic of ground water used for drinking and other various activities in 20 selected town of Satna district. For analysis water samples were collected from different areas ground water sources such as Hand pumps, bore- wells and wells. The present study was carried out during the year October 2017 to September 2019, for analysis 27 ground water samples sources were selected in different part of Satna district, Madhya Pradesh such as Amarpatan, Rampur, Unchehara, Maihar, Satna, Nagod,
