Abstract
This thesis work deals with the study on green synthesis of some potential
newlineheterocyclic compounds using deep eutectic solvents. A former part of the work
newlinedescribed in this thesis deals about the preparation of deep eutectic solvents of Glucose-
newlineUrea and Choline Chloride-Glucose. Further, the stability of these deep eutectic
newlinesolvents is studied. Later part of the work deals about the synthesis of different
newlinederivatives of Piperidin-4-one with Glucose-Urea and Choline Chloride-Glucose DESs.
newlineSince the entire thesis work is centred on the efficient application of deep eutectic
newlinesolvents in the organic transformation against the volatile organic solvents. Piperidin-
newline4-ones exhibit different pharmacological activities within the broad range of
newlineheterocyclic compounds that have been studied for the production of pharmaceutically
newlinesignificant molecules. Such important piperidine-4-one derivatives are synthesised
newlineusing an inexpensive deep eutectic solvent, it is felt appropriate to provide a very brief introduction to deep eutectic solvents and piperidin-4-one compounds. Exhaustive
newlinereviews, research articles and books are available on these subjects.
