Abstract
Segmenting Foreground objects from a video sequence is a key
newlineprocessing and critical step in video analysis such as object detection and
newlinetracking Several Foreground detection techniques and edge detectors have
newlinebeen developed until now But the problem is it is very difficult to obtain an
newlineoptimal foreground due to the factors like weather light shadow and clutter
newlineinterference Background subtract is used in many of the applications where
newlinethe noise appears at fixed places and also when it is used for long image
newlinesequence there may be much error accumulated in the foreground Optical
newlineflow is the velocity field which warps one image into another usually very
newlinesimilar image where the noise appears randomly It covers long distance and
newlinethe noise due to brightness change is less which results in less accumulate
newlineerror percentage However it cannot get rid of light influences which result in
newlinebackground noises
