Abstract

The retail investment sector is one of the most revenue engrossing and ever emerging sector in the entire world. The retail domain specifically indulges in the provision of various investment sources to the consumers all across. The retail investment space has tremendously changed its poce in the past few years especially due to the introduction of technology in the market. It has allowed the investors to transact at an online platform and has provided the retail investors even more options to invest and expand in the sector. The aman difference between the retail investors (RI) and the traditional investors existing across different businesses occur mostly based on the of the investment, their access to the research forums, the advice professionally they gather (Bhattacharya et al., 2012). These type of investors are quite keen making profitable investment decisions and hence base them mostly depending on number of rational and irrational factors (Seth et al. 2020a). The methods of managing the finances among the RI vary to a large extant from that of the muditional investors associated with other kind of businesses in the market. For example (FFufgeld and Wang, 2017) cited the instances of some RI being intellectually driven while others considering the profit aspects of the investment as their core motivation in the process. There are various aspects of RI that have been considered for in depth study among the researchers in the field. There have been attitudinal, behavioural and Financial significant factors found to impact on the entre process of investigating more about these RI (M. Talwar et al., 20211. The study here is an attempt to further enhance the scope of studying about such RI in the country from a geographical specific stand point and analyse the financial aspects related to it. The study has included the state of Rajasthan as the point of selecting the RI and conduct an in depth analysis of these investors operating from this particular state in a developing economy.
