The DC-DC converters are frequently used as power supplies in modern electronic systems due to their efficiency, compactness, lightness, and reliability advantages. They may be used for various applications, including telecommunications equipment, aircraft instruments, medical devices, and computer power supply. The primary function of any DC-DC converter is to deliver the steady intended DC output voltage regardless of differences in the operating conditions, such as input voltage, load current and reference output voltage. The reference output voltage or load current may also change based on the needs of the application and the input voltage to DC-DC converters is often uncontrolled. As a result, the precise and reliable performance of DC-DC converters is of vital importance in these circumstances. This has motivated to carry out research in the design, analysis and modelling of DC-DC converters. newlineThe DC-DC converter has become an increasingly important, but improving dc link voltage is crucial for both local load and grid-integrated applications. Clean energy applications such as photovoltaic (PV) and fuel cells have low voltage profiles at their output terminals. As a result, a DC-DC converter with enhanced voltage gain is essential. Conventional step-up or step-down DC-DC converters are not practically able to handle a wide variety of conversions. As a result, researchers have developed sophisticated approaches and cutting-edge technology for DC-DC conversion. The DC-DC conversion has several difficulties in achieving the following: a greater conversion ratio, better component utilisation, increased performance, the use of semiconductor devices, portability and cost reduction. To fulfil the higher voltage conversion demand, this research effort attempts to derive and build the best DC-DC topologies by achieving the superior performance aspects indicated above. newlineii newlineA modified single-ended primary inductor converter (SEPIC) with an asymmetrically switched inductor super lift cell (ASISLC) is proposed.
