Abstract

Florence Nightingale introduced the concept of quality in nursing care in 1855 while attending the injured soldiers in the hospital during the Crimean war. The term and#8213;Quality Assuranceand#8214; means maintaining a high quality of health care by constantly measuring the effectiveness of the organizations that provides it. Its ultimate goal is to build confidence and faith in the quality of the health care rendered.
