Abstract
The project management or specifically the software product management is
newlinedriven form the approach of traditional management methods to the Agile based
newlineproduct management framework. The changes in approach on product management
newlinemay leads to revolutionized updates in the process of product development. More
newlinecommonly the Agile methods became a standard to measure the performance of
newlinesoftware development process. The methods of Agile framework were utilised in
newlinealmost all product development organisations, the utilisation and knowledge on
newlineimplementing the Agile methods was increasing rapidly. To achieve the complete
newlinesuccess in the product development the organisations should identify were and when
newlineto use the Agile method and to select the correct metrics to measure its own
newlineperformance over the product management.
newlineMany new agile methods are introduced day by day but only the Agile methods
newlinewon t generate the successful implementation of product, project or company,
newlinelearning of customers need and implementation of correct Agile methodology on it
newlineprovides the maximum scaling ability on performance of the product development
newlineteam. The agile methods are introduced to assist the programmers to solve the
newlineobstacles faced during the development of the product. The traditional method like
newlinewaterfall model does not provide any effective way to handle the obstacles in
newlinedevelopment process.
newlineThis thesis study about the different approaches in the Agile Methodologies
newlineand identify the suitable method for the specific product development model. Each Agile method provides its own methodology to handle sprint planning and release
newlineplanning for the product development. This work helps to learn about the principles of
newlinedifferent Agile methodologies and selecting the suitable method for large, medium
newlineand small level product development. The performance of the Agile methods was
newlinecompared over the different product levelsThis work presents the advantages of using agile methods over
newlinedifferent scaled product development
