Abstract
University Libraries are the apex of the entire educational systems and influence
newlineeducation at all levels. The information revolution brought by the information and
newlinecommunication Technology (ICT) has created new challenges and opportunities for
newlinelibrary professionals. Digital references, online data bases, e-journals and e-books enable
newlinelibraries to operate anywhere, allowing patrons with internet access to contents, services
newlineand resources at any time. Hence, present study utilization and uniqueness of e-resources
newlineat the PG centres of Tamilnadu Agricultural Universitiy has been undertaken.
newlineFollowing the objectives of the study the required data has been collected from the
newlinerespondents with the help of a structured close-ended questionnaire. For analysis and
newlineinterpretation of the data collected simple statistical tools such as averages, percentages,
newlinecoefficient of variation, regression co efficient and students t test are used. The analysis
newlinehas been divided into two phases such as: Phase I analysis of primary and secondary data
newlinecollected form libraries of PG centres of Tamilnadu Agricultural university and its
newlineconstituent colleges. Phase II analysis of primary data collected from the selected
newlinerespondent students. The out comes of the study has been reported through five chapters
newlinesuch as1. Introduction, 2. Review of Related Literature, 3. Profile of the study Area, 4.
newlineAnalysis and interpretation of Data and 5. Major findings of the study and conclusion.
newlineAt the end of the report a summary of the findings and inferences elicited from the
newlineanalysis of the data have been given. Based on the analysis and findings of the study, a
newlinefew suggestions are put forward to improve the information Technology based services of
newlinePG centres of Tamilnadu Agricultural University Library and their constituent college
newlinelibraries.
