Tinea corporis is a superficial dermatophyte infections characterized by either inflammatory or non-inflammatory lesions on glabrous skin. Tinea corporis is common throughout the world with prevalence of 20-25%. It can occur in either sex or in any age and is bound to have effect on quality of life of patients. To assess and compare the effectiveness of Arctium lappa and crysophanicum acidum in cases of tinea corporis. To assess the effectiveness of Arctium lappain the treatment of Tinea newlineCorporison the basis of Dermatology life quality index (DLQI).To assess the effectiveness of Crysophanicum acidumin the treatment of Tinea Corporis on the basis of Dermatology life quality index (DLQI). To compare the effectiveness of Arctium lappa and Crysophanicum acidum by comparing post treatment assessment of Dermatology life quality index (DLQI)of both intervention groups. Total 82 patients screened, out of which 75 enrolled, in Group A-37 and Group B38, newlineOut of 75, 15 patient were drop outs in Group newlineA-7 and Group B-8, so number of patient who completed 6 months follows up 30 Patients in newlineGroup A and 30 patients in Group B. Group A newlinepatients were prescribed Arcticum Lappa and Group B crysophanicum Acidum. Assessment and reassessment was done using DLQI scale. The outcome of this study shows that, out of 60 cases, in 3 cases (5%) Marked improvement was seen (Group A-1 and Group B-2); 27 cases (45%) Moderate improvement was seen (Group A-8 and Group B-19); 22 cases (36.66%) Mild improvement was seen (Group A-16 and Group B-6); 8 cases (13.33%) status quo was seen (Group A-5 and Group B-3). Overall, statistically there is significant difference between Arcticum Lappa and crysophanicum Acidum, but on the basis of clinical outcome newlinecrysophanicum Acidum shows more improvement as compare to Arcticum Lappa in cases of Tinea corporis.
