dc.description.abstractnewlineNursing shortage is crippling the healthcare sector and causing deep concern regarding the newlinequality of patient care. There is a huge migration of nurses from India to various developing newlinecountries and thus India is no exception to the nursing shortage. Job dissatisfaction is one of the newlinemain causes of nurses intentions to quit the profession and role stress is one of the main causes newlineof nurses job dissatisfaction. The concept of workplace spirituality has been gaining importance newlinein the past few years and has been found to have positive relationships with various newlineorganizational outcomes. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship of some role newlinestressors (role ambiguity, role conflict and role overload) and job satisfaction among nurses in newlineIndia and the moderating effect of workplace spirituality on this relationship. This study is non newlineexperimental, cross sectional and quantitative in nature. A questionnaire survey was conducted. newlineThe target population of the study included nurses from municipal and private hospitals in newlineMumbai. Random sampling technique was followed. 475 questionnaires were distributed out of newlinewhich 450 were returned yielding a response rate of 94.7%.
