Abstract

The Information Technology Act, 2000 is a progressive set of legislation. Within the span of a decade and a half, the Act has seen three major amendments. The Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008 has comprehensively changed how the contraventions and offences were dealt earlier. The amendments which were brought in are definitely tested on time and success of the legislature and judiciary in delivery of justice and protection of rights of end -user of information technology.
