dc.description.abstractLearning disabilities are accompanied by various psychological, social and emotional issues. Children with learning disabilities appear to exhibit emotional problems due to adjustment difficulties resulting from academic failure. These children need parental support to become the best in the social-emotional area. The purpose of the present study was to explore Role of Family in the Development of Social Competence and Emotional Resilience among Children with Learning Disabilities. The study comprised of total 160 sample size where 40 were learning disabled children consisting 29 boys and 11 girls. While 40 fathers, 40 mothers and 40 siblings of learning disabled children. Purposive Sampling was applied. Standardized and self-constructed tools were used for data collection. The t - test analysis revealed that there is significant difference on the basis of gender and insignificant difference in six parenting styles i.e. Democratic, Autocratic, Accepting, Rejecting, Over Protecting and Over Demanding. Furthermore, the correlation findings of the role of family (mothers, fathers, siblings) had positive relationship. Moreover, one-way ANOVA outcomes indicated that the role of fathers, mothers and siblings were significantly different with respect to their Age, Academic Qualification, Occupation, Gender and Income. newline
