The aim of the current study was to investigate the effectiveness of an internet-based newlineintervention on self-management behaviour, cognitive distortions, and cognitive appraisal of newlinehealth and diabetes distress in patients with type 2 diabetes. The sample of participants with newlinetype 2 diabetes were divided into two groups namely treatment group and control group. Both newlinegroups were studied pre and post intervention, on self-management, cognitive appraisal of newlinehealth, cognitive distortions and diabetes distress. Follow up data was collected at 3 months newline newline12 newline newlinefrom the date of completion of post intervention. An interview schedule was administered via newlinezoom after the follow up.and#61623; The demographic data revealed a need for younger, female and employed or newlineunemployed participants who would benefit from future interventions. newlineand#61623; The health variable results revealed that individuals with poorer management or newlinehigher HbA1c scores who are recently diagnosed would benefit for participation in newlinesuch interventions. newlineand#61623; The internet-based intervention improved scores on dietary control, total self- newlinemanagement, total cognitive distortions, challenge scale and regimen related distress. newlineand#61623; Many inter correlations were noted among the variables. The interconnectedness of newlinevariables are useful in acknowledging the holistic approach in the management of newlinediabetes. newlineand#61623; 3 month follow up indicated significant reductions in cognitive distortions. newline
