Assessment of psychological well being motor fitness and body composition among cricketers in relation to their sports

Abstract

The present study was designed to assess the psychological well-being, motor fitness and body composition among cricketers in relation to their sports performance. Human performance is psycho-physical unity. Psychological well-being enables the players to manage the pressure on and off the field in a better way, motor fitness enables athletes to perform the cricketing skills efficiently and accurately and body composition play an vital role in production and supply of energy for different movements during game. The present study would encourage physical education teachers, trainers, sports scientists and coaches to pay equal attention towards the development of psychological well-being, motor fitness and body composition for the better performance and process of talent identification in sports, especially in cricket.
