Metal Matrix Composites (MMC) persist the industrial world for newlinethepast three decades because of its combined parental properties and newlineenhanced mechanical properties. Due to this capability, it is the replacement newlineof existing monolithic alloys applied in aerospace, automotive, structural, newlinesports and defense fabrication industries. Various aluminium alloys are newlineemployed in lots of industrial applications because of its wide range of newlineproperties like excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, good newlinemachinability, low density, economically effective, etc. Among most MMC newlineAluminium Matrix Composites (AMC) are widely considered as industrial newlineneeds and applications due its economically and environmentally favourable newlineconditions. Various research works are undergoing for improving the newlinemechanical properties by employing new and various reinforcements with the newlinealuminium matrix. In case of Particle reinforced Aluminium Matrix newlineComposites (PAMC), the enhancement in mechanical properties is isotropic. newlineNormally, aluminium matrix composite materials are fabricated by newlineseveral techniques like, stir casting, powder metallurgy, squeeze casting, etc. newlineAmong various fabricating techniques, stir casting is the most effective, newlineeconomical and flexible method for fabricating the aluminium matrix newlinecomposites. By considering various aluminium alloys, 6xxx series are broadly newlineused due to its high strength to weight ratio and toughness but need newlineimprovement in its mechanical properties. So reinforcing ceramic particles newlinewith the aluminium matrix makes enhancing the mechanical properties by newlinealtering the morphology via grain refinement and increasing the load bearing newlinecapacity through transferring the load from matrix onto the reinforcements. newline newline
