dc.description.abstractpresents a concise overview of the overall energy consumption newlineproduced by various energy sources, along with a discussion of the current issues newlinerelated with these sources. The section subsequently presents an overview of newlinethermoelectrics, a sustainable and environmentally friendly technology developed to newlineaddress the global energy demands. This text provides a concise summary of the newlinehistorical development of thermoelectric technology and explains the fundamental newlineprinciples that govern this technology. This chapter focuses on the many newlinethermoelectric effects, the factors that impact the efficiency of the device, and the newlinecriteria for selecting thermoelectric materials. Following that, a concise overview of newlinethe existing challenges and potential approaches to surmount these obstacles in order newlineto attain optimal effectiveness in thermoelectric devices is provided. More precisely, it newlineemphasizes the rationales for choosing molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) as the material newlinefor this research project and closes by summarizing the uniqueness of the work newline
