Abstract
The voltage and the frequencies are the main key factors in power systems. The control
newlinestrategy is given to these two parameters for smooth performance in power systems. As
newlineper the requirement of power in power systems the interconnections between two systems
newlineis by tie line, which give economical operations. As per the dependences the control
newlinestrategy is Primary, Secondary or emergency control. Here, the Primary control is used
newlinefor small frequency changes and the higher frequency changes can done by the secondary
newlinecontrol strategy, But the emergency control is used when there is a bigger mismatch
newlinebetween consumer demanded load and the generation. For this smooth operation various
newlinetechniques used like ALFC control or AGC control or AVR control. Modern electric
newlinepower system widely uses HVDC transmission links due to their numerous technical and
newlineeconomic advantages. Therefore, HVDC dynamic models have been considered in LFC
newlinestudies to investigate their impacts. Again for accurate management and smooth
newlineoperation there are some intelligent optimization techniques used like IPSO, IWO or
newlineLVFSO. Significant achievements in system dynamics in terms of frequency and tie line
newlinepower variations by using diversity of power resources and more robust solution
newlinetechniques. These intelligent techniques are used to tune the controller parameters to
newlineachieve robustness and accurate power system performances.
