Rare earth metal eu tb doped inorganic Crystals znso4 cuso4 for optical and Antimicrobial investigations

Abstract

Crystals acquire priority through inorganic materials for different technological newlineapplications like Optics, communications, medicine, etc., Inorganic host crystals have newlinebeen preferred since ancient times because of their low cost and less toxic nature. Better newlinedopants can derive the best results from the grown crystals, Rare Earth metal dopants are newlinesuitable for the inorganic crystals, these RE metals significantly play a role in Optical and newlinecommunication devices like LEDs, and many electronic appliances. The Peculiar newlineelectronic structure of the Rare Earth Metals makes them useful for many Optical and newlineBiological applications. newlineInorganic hosts used for the current work were investigated by scientists for newlinevarious properties. High Melting Point, chemically inert nature, physical, chemical, noncentrosymmetric newlineproperties, and antimicrobial nature of the inorganic materials host them newlinefor various applications. As per the literature, Copper and Zinc have notable antimicrobial newlineproperties and work on various bacterial cultures. Hence, for the Current work, Zinc newlineSulfate Heptahydrate and Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate were chosen as the Inorganic newlinehosts with Europium and Terbium Rare Earth Metals as dopants, to investigate their newlineStructural, Optical and Antimicrobial studies. The following chapters incorporated in the newlinethesis explain the thesis work in detail. newlineChapter 1 deals with the origin and importance of the crystals, types of growth methods, newlineand conditions for the growth, along with the application of crystals in various fields, and newlinethe properties are also described briefly. Different Crystal growth methods and structural newlineinformation of the Crystals are given. A basic analysis of the Crystals and types of newlinematerials being used as crystals was incorporated, Previous literature and the scope of newlinethe thesis are explained. newlineIn Chapter 2, Various Characterisations like X-ray diffraction Spectroscopy newline(XRD), Photoluminescence Spectroscopy (Pl), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy newline(FTIR), Ultra Violet Visible Spectroscopy (UV
