Performance Appraisal of Microfinance Banks of Indore District

Abstract

The goal of the current study is to examine the value of microfinance and evaluate the newlineeffectiveness of Indore-based microfinance institutions. The universe of the study newlineconsisted of all those MFIs of India which are reporting their financial and social newlinereport to microscope report of microfinance banks in India. The present study will be newlineof an exploratory nature. Accordingly, there will be the use of secondary data for the newlineanalysis. Annual reports of the MFIs will be used as secondary data. The reference newlineperiod for annual data pertaining to the objectives is ranging from the year 2015-16 to newline2020-21 The data has been sourced from microscope report of microfinance banks in newlineIndia. The following statistical tools were applied using Statistical Package of Social newlineSciences (SPSS 21.0) and MS Excel 2007 for the analysis of collected data and to newlinearrive at the meaningful conclusions. T-test was applied to explore the effect of newlineindependent variables of two categories on dependent variables. Analysis of Variance newline(ANOVA) was applied to explore the effect of independent variables of more than newlinetwo categories. In this study, which spans the six-year period from 2016-17 to newline2020-21, the performance of banks and microfinance organizations in India is newlineexamined. The study makes a unique contribution to the literature because none of the newlinestudies that were looked at simultaneously investigated both India s banks and newlinemicrofinance institutions. newlineKeywords: - Microfinance, SHG-Banking, newline
