dc.description.abstractVitamin deficiency is the lack of essential vitamins in our body and turns out to be matter of major concern when it continues for long term causing various abnormal signs and symptoms. Vitamin D is a group of fat-soluble prohormones known as sunshine vitamin. It plays an important role in maintaining an adequate level of serum calcium and phosphorus. Vitamin D has a great effect in forming and maintaining strong bones. Many factors play an important role in giving raise to deficiency of essential supplements necessary to the normal health. Vitamin D deficiency occurs when people do not have an appropriate dietary intake or exposure to UVB rays. The Hidden secretes in the basic principles of Ayurved are needed to be explained in terms of contemporary knowledge. In Ayurved there is no any direct reference of Vitamin D3 Deficiency. Many systems in human body is involved in pathogenesis of Vitamin D3 Deficiency. The signs and symptoms of all these systems lead to a complex clinical picture of Vitamin D3 Deficiency. Thus various basic principles of Ayurveda have been studied in deep to understand the concept of Vitamin D3 Deficiency. newlineIn India, Vitamin D3 deficiency is widespread. It is necessary to understand the nidana, purvarupa, rupa, samprapti of Vitamin D3 deficiency in Ayurveda along with contemporary science for a better management. However, the clinically diagnosed cases represent only the tip of the iceberg. With the knowledge of the multiple consequences, it can lead to; we can imagine the burden. So Vitamin D3 deficiency needs to be addressed with due attention and strong action. newline newline
