Abstract
Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN), a wireless network that connects
newlinewearable devices to the internet is the recent trending topic today in the wireless world.
newlineIt works in the surrounding area of the living tissues. WBAN uses human body s electrical
newlineconductivity as a data network to connect body-worn electronics to the external network
newlineand exchange digital information. It has a lot of benefits, such as a wide range and less
newlinesystem complexity. Wearable electronics that are connected to the internet can be worn
newlineor implanted inside the living body ensures in-body, on-body and off-body wireless
newlinetransmissions. It is widely used in distinct application areas which includes healthcare,
newlinepatient monitoring, military and sports in the near future. Flexible antennas pay more
newlineattention for WBAN in contrast to the rigid antennas due to its high demand in a variety
newlineof applications, including tracking, health monitoring, navigation, sports, telemedicine,
newlinearmies, and other security applications. Compact antenna designs with a larger coverage
newlinearea are highly advised to support this. Because of their larger bandwidth coverage,
newlinemonopole antennas are widely suggested in Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN)
newlinecommunication. Several frequency bands are allocated to establish WBAN
newlinecommunication system like Medical Implant Communication Services band (MICS)
newline(402-405 MHz), Medical band (MBAN) (2.36 2.4 GHz), Industrial, scientific and
newlinemedical band (ISM) (2.4-2.48 GHz) and Ultra-wide band (UWB) (3.1-10.6 GHz) etc,...
