Concrete, the most widely used building material consumes large newlinequantities of aggregates for its production. The usage of aggregates has caused newlineserious ecological problems leading to the requirement of an alternative newlinematerial to meet the demand. The modern era is also witnessing same serious newlineissues due to the increasing production of cements. Global warming one of the newlinedebatable topic focuses only on reducing the greenhouse gases generated by the newlineproduction of cement. The alternative construction thus chosen for replacing newlinecement and aggregates should not only meet the design and strength newlinerequirements but also the ecological criteria. The prevention of depletion of newlinesand can be done through the use of sea sands available in plenty. However the newlineusage of sea sands affects the service life of the concrete by subjecting them to newlinecorrosion and other environmental related damages. Polymer concrete newlineessentially is used for special applications and their usage is also not uncommon newlinein today s world. The present research work tries to improve the service life of newlinesea sand concrete by using them in combination with epoxy resin. Initially the newlineremoval of some minute impurities such as clay, organic matter and other traces newlinewere removed by subjecting them to water washing continuously for about newlinethree hours. The removal of chloride ions from sea sand indirectly extends the newlineservice life of the concrete produced using sea sand in concrete. Some newlineimportant properties of concrete such as physical, mechanical and durability newlinewere studied on the sea sand concrete containing epoxy resin as cement newlinereplacement. The scope of the work revolves around the assessment of the newlineproperties of concrete manufactured using sea sand as replacement for natural newlineriver sand up to 50% and 12% epoxy resin as partial substitute for cement. The newlineworkability of concrete was studied by maintaining constant water binder ratio newline
