An Analytical Study of Postural Deformities and Its Causes Among School Children of Punjab

Abstract

The present study is entitled An Analytical Study of Postural Deformities and Its Causes among School Children of Punjab . The study was delimited to 1000 school children of rural and urban area of Punjab with the age group of 10-18 years. The method used for data collection was postural grid chart and the subjects were selected with random sampling method. After that the data was analyzed with the help suitable statistical analysis and the following conclusion was made: newlineNumber of Postural Deformities newlineand#61623; The knock knee deformities are very high, scoliosis deformities are less than knock knee, kyphosis deformities are less than scoliosis, lordosis deformities is less than kyphosis, bow legs deformities are less than lordosis, but a flat foot postural deformity are very low in school children of Punjab. newlineCauses of Postural Deformities newlineand#61623; Those school children who have been found with postural deformities in Punjab, maximum have suffered from flat foot and knock knee by birth, from body weight in bow legs and from bad posture in Kyphosis and lordosis. newline newline
