Scope of JIT implementation in indian smes

Abstract

The SMEs of India has been forced to introduce innovative strategies to improve its competitive position due to global competition. Large scale industries have implemented Just-in-Time (JIT) to ensure their competitive edge. This Thesis analyzes the scope of implementation of JIT manufacturing to the Indian SMEs. Various benefits obtained by implementing JIT, Difficulties in implementation of JIT and Elements of JIT will be identified through opinion of industry experts and experts from academia and the literature review. The data of different aspects of JIT implementation has been collected from various manufacturing/ process industries of the State of Haryana. Statistical analysis such as One/ Two way ANOVA etc. has been done to draw the tangible outcome. newline
