Electrocardiogram is the graphical representation of the electrical activity of the heart that helps the cardiologists to analyze the health of the people affected by the cardiovascular diseases It is popular due to its cost effectiveness easy usage and noninvasiveness The recorded electrocardiogram is contaminated by various noises such as power line noise baseline noise motion artefacts and electrode contact noise Hence denoising of the electrocardiogram is needed to improve the signal quality to help the physician diagnose the heart diseases efficiently This study is very much significant as cardiovascular diseases and stroke are the leading contributors to the mortality rate in the world newline
