Research on climate change has increasingly acknowledged that human activities newlinehave led to greater concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere through newlineemissions. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports on newlineincreasing global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and newlineice and rising average sea level reveal that warming of the climate system is unequivocal. newlineThe effects of global warming on access to food, water supply, forests, health and overall newlinehuman development have led to the introduction of climate change into the policy arena. newlineThe United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was adopted newlineby the global community to address the concerns of climate change. This overarching newlineFramework Convention was supplemented by the Kyoto Protocol with binding emission newlinetarget on developed countries in 2005 and the legally binding Paris Agreement in 2016 newlinewith a common goal binding all nations to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees newlineCelsius, preferably to 1.5.This study is an attempt to answer numerous questions having serious concerns newlinefor climate change. Thus, the objective of the study is to identify the flaws existing in the newlinecurrent legal regime on climate change in India. newline
