The study highlights the synergistic potential of the novel combination of Camellia sinensis (C.S) (Kangra green tea) and Withaniasomnifera (W.S) (Ashwagandha). C.S and W.S are well-known herbal plants rich in bioactive compounds mainly flavonoids and known for their therapeutic potential. Whereas, this is the first time study where synergistic antioxidant and anti-aging potential of C.S+W.S was studied with the help of in silico, in vitro and cell culture experiments. Preliminary studies were focused on phytochemical extraction using different solvents followed by qualitative and quantitative analysis of various phytochemicals. Qualitative phytochemical screening was carried out and maximum presence of phytochemicals was found in methanol. The major phytochemicals found in C.S and W.S were terpenoids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and phenols. Quantitative phytochemical analysis was carried out with the help of HPLC to confirm the presence of flavonoids EGCG and Withaferin A. The results obtained from HPLC were found to show the presence of EGCG and Withaferin A (0.02 mg/ml and 0.01 mg/ml) respectively. newline
