The Study Delves Into The Performance Of Companies Investing In Initial Public Offerings (Ipos) In The Indian Market, Analyzing The Key Determinants That Influence Ipo Outcomes, Particularly Underpricing, Investor Behavior, And Information Asymmetry. The Research Evaluates The Role Of The Green Shoe Option In Stabilizing Share Prices And The Impact Of Pricing Mechanisms Such As Open And Closed Book Systems On Investor Decisions. Using A Mixed-Method Approach, The Study Incorporates Both Quantitative Data From 400 Ipos Between 2013-2023 And Qualitative Insights From Surveys Of 500 Investors, Highlighting How Signaling Theory, Social Comparison, And Public Information Affect Ipo Performance.
