Although single transmit and receive antenna in a communication device try to meet the demands of high data rate by advanced modulation techniques such as M-PSK/ M-QAM, they still suffer from fading. To overcome this effect of fading, and to improve the data rate and reliability, the MIMO system is used. In the MIMO system, multiple antennas and multiple RF chains are placed at the transmitter and receiver. Thus the MIMO system can be exploited to effectively achieve diversity and spatial multiplexing that improves the reliability and data rate, respectively. Even though the MIMO system fulfils the need for high data rate and reliable communication, it suffers from ICI, the requirement of IAS to activate the multiple transmit antennas at the same time, and transceiver complexity due to multiple RF chains at the transmitter and receiver.
