| dc.description.abstract | Introduction newlineSilver nanoparticles AgNPs synthesized using plant extracts like Chromolaena odorata and Caesalpinia coriaria offer a green, eco friendly approach. This study investigates their cytotoxic effects on cancer cells, focusing on apoptosis induction and cancer pathway modulation. newlineAim and Objective newlineThe study aims to develop an eco friendly method for synthesizing AgNPs using plant extracts from C. odorata and C. coriaria, and to assess their cytotoxic effects against cancer cell lines. newlineMaterials and Methods newlineLeaf extracts from C. odorata and C. coriaria were used for AgNP synthesis, with phytochemical screening confirming bioactive compounds. AgNP formation was monitored by UV visible spectrophotometry and characterized using AFM, SEM, Zeta potential, FTIR, and particle size analysis. Cytotoxicity was evaluated via MTT assay on MCF 7, MG 63, HeLa, and HEK cell lines. Gene expression changes were analyzed using NGS, and pathway analysis focused on apoptosis and cancer related signalling. newlineConclusions newlinePlant extracts prepared from Chromolaena odorata and Caesalpinia coriaria, revealed bioactive compounds like alkaloids, tannins, phenols, and cardiac glycosides in the phytochemical screening. The green synthesized AgNPs exhibited strong cytotoxicity against MCF 7 and MG 63 cell lines, inducing apoptosis and inhibiting cancer cell proliferation. NGS analysis showed modulation of key pathways, including PI3K AKT mTOR and MAPK, with activation of apoptosis related genes, positioning plant based AgNPs as eco friendly agents for cancer therapy newline | |
